The Reception Is Never Boring

Theres always something that happens that really makes your day when working the evening reception shift. In the last couple of days I've had some good ones.

Its such a great position because you get to welcome guests to the hostel and get a gage of how friendly/outgoing or fun they are! Also whoever you check in also naturally looks to you for help which is nice.

One of my favorites just left today. Perfect fit for the hostel - always chatting away to all staff and guests to the point where people thought she worked here!

Shes actually in the Norwich military college in the US which was facinating to hear about. But also meant that it was her first time getting drunk here because now shes of legal age! Fun! We looked after her and she loved dancing at the club. Just facilitating an awesome long weekend and her saying that it'll stay with her was really cool.

Naturally I helped out whilst on shift by playing good tracks to get everyone in the mood for the night out. But I also sometimes get requests.. for example Pacific music (I had to be told what that was) for a tispy french lady from New Caledonia (again.. I had to be told what that was too!) Who the proceed to teach me how to dance like a polynessian / the men from her island. All whilst I was working! Haha!

In other news autumn is here. Its getting a lil colder and the trees are turning wonderful colours. Just look at the park we went
Love to all my family xxx until next time!
